INSURE is an insurance startup based in Moscow, Russia, which wants to change the whole process of insurance by making it more positive and playful, rather than grey and anxious. They themselves are frequent travelers, they know the struggles and issues you face preparing your insurance. They made the process friendlier to the customer by reducing the wait time, and the ability to integrate your travels to their app, to enhance your experience. Insure team had a clear vision for their product, which helped us bring the best result in the shortest term possible.
Our goal for the project was simple: Process should take no more than one minute. In the beginning, we saw it as impossible, but understanding the customer and travelers in general, helped us a lot to test our prototypes and ideas to see what works the best and brings joy to the process. For us as a team User Experience was the main goal, as we knew how the travel topic is fragile and requires a lot of fine-tuning.
We came up with a system that will give flexibility to the user and at the same time make the process faster. Our idea consisted of three pillars: Before-hand preparation, comfortable UX and Instant insurance
By filling in your information and travel documents in advance, the app will notify you if something needs an update or change. Upload and don't worry about it. Later in the process of acquiring new insurance, the app will use your information automatically.
The minimalistic approach to UI and fine-tuning UX helped to achieve the best solution for the customer. We added features like: Add your family and friends to your travel buddies list and buy insurance for everyone in no time.
As the app has the needed information for procedures, even if you remembered you need insurance when entering the plane, you still can get your insurance in a matter of minutes and save yourself from headaches and worries.
A minimalistic approach to the UI and conducted research for the UX helped us to keep the app fresh and only have the information that user needs, nothing extra, nothing less.
I liked how the Insure team approached their product with love and cared about their customer and their comfort. For them and for me it wasn't just a product, but also a passion project to enhance the experience of customers in the insurance field, to make it more accesible, user-friendly and comfortable.
